0394/2024 - The transformation of the body and its global implications under COVID care: An inside look at healthcare La transformación del cuerpo y sus implicaciones globales en la atención COVID: Una mirada desde adentro a la atención sanitaria.
This paper is the result of an investigation into the role of the researcher within the ethnographic methodology in clinical settings, which is why it focuses on reflecting on the following question: What role does the researcher's voice play in describing the bodily transformations in clinical spaces involving people with severe COVID? Through Kleinman's notion of moral worlds, Turner's notion of liminality, Levinas ethics of otherness, and Butler's notion of power, the aim is to develop a deep interpretation of the moral, socioethical and political dimensions. To achieve this objective, I will return to memory as a narrative strategy of the author and his context in order to build an autoethnography that proposes theoretical categories such as liminal body, economy of hope and socialization of morality to describe and analyze the clinical context and the body changes during the COVID pandemic.
La transformación del cuerpo y sus implicaciones globales en la atención COVID: Una mirada desde adentro a la atención sanitaria.
Abstract(resumo):
Este trabajo es el resultado de una investigación sobre el papel que juega el investigador dentro de la metodología etnográfica en escenarios clínicos, por lo que se centra en reflexionar la siguiente pregunta ¿Qué papel juega la voz del investigador al describir las transformaciones corporales en espacios clínicos que involucran a personas con COVID grave? A través de la noción de mundos morales de Kleinman, de liminalidad de Turner, de ética de la alteridad de Levinas y de poder de Butler, se pretende desarrollar una interpretación profunda sobre las dimensiones moral, socio-ética y política. Para lograr este objetivo, retomaré a la memoria como estrategia narrativa del autor y su contexto con el fin de construir una autoetnografía que propone categorías teóricas como cuerpo liminal, economía de la esperanza y socialización de la moral para describir y analizar el contexto clínico y los cambios corporales durante la pandemia por COVID.
