Abstract:

This article analyzes family violence against LGBTQIA+ people as a social inequality in mental health and especially as a predisposing factor to suicidal behavior. The data presented comesintervention research carried out between 2020 and 2023 that sought to explore the affections and sufferings of LGBTQIA+ people through therapeutic groups. Thus, we highlight three clinical cases that exemplify the relationship between suicide, rape and family institutions. Considering the complexities of these cases, we propose the concept of certification rape to describe situations in which a person enters a sexual relationship they did not desire in order to certify their sexual orientation and whose initiative is based on recurring suggestionsfamily members. Finally, we highlight the family institution as a mechanism for the death of LGBTQIA+ people that operates a microphysics of necropower.
