Abstract:

The present integrative review aims to analyze the scientific literature to identify technological arrangements for care management (AT) in hospitals used during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of understanding whether and how these arrangements contributed to the resilience of services and systems. The literature search was conducted in three databases, covering the periodJanuary 1, 2020, to May 10, 2023. Data analysis was based on the classification of AT according to the family, professional, and organizational dimensions of care proposed by Cecílio (2011). The ATs that operated in the family dimension of care suggest relational strategies as enhancers of hospital resilience. Experiments in the fields of professional and organizational dimensions highlight the importance of shared decision-making and dialogue between technologies in resilience and the comprehensiveness of care. ICT supported hospital reorganization in overcoming pandemic challenges without disregarding lightweight technologies, which have the potential to transform contemporary hospitals. Thus, health systems like SUS, by connecting ICT to AT, can enhance the articulation between families and professionals, as well as expand clinical practice and institutional capacities.
