Abstract:

This study aims to identify the factors influencing dissatisfaction among healthcare professionals working in Family Health Teams in ed municipalities in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. It is a qualitative study conducted with 64 professionals16 Family Health Teams in the cities of Criciúma, Joinville, Blumenau, Lages, and Chapecó in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviewsMarch to December 2020 with 64 healthcare professionals. The data were analyzed using thematic content analysis, with the assistance of the software ATLAS.ti 22. The results indicated three groups: workload overload and people management difficulties (54%); salaries considered inadequate and labor rights infringements (29.8%); structural and logistical difficulties for healthcare assistance (16.2%). Factors highlighted included understaffed teams, inadequate professional valuation, disorganization in people management, low pay, disrespect for labor rights, deficits in financial resources, materials, and physical structure. The working conditions and the way healthcare are delivered contributed to the dissatisfaction of Family Health Team professionals.
