Abstract:

We produced an analysis of the articles approved in 2024 in the social
sciences area of the journal Ciência & Saúde Coletiva, based on two synergistic
movements. The first mapped the topics covered, focusing on the emergence of the
issue of social differences as markers of inequality. The second analyzed the theoretical-
methodological approaches with a view to their emerging and consolidated
manifestations. We concluded that the perspective of considering difference as a
political construct related to the distribution of power that hierarchizes existences still
seems to us to be little incorporated into research.
